I try to buy mostly organic ingredients purchased at Sprouts.

I make this for Josh and his family. It is his special treat after dinner.

I have never put dried apples in my granola. I think I am going to try that!

Margie, is that you? I am honored ;-)

Donna, do you mean the dried fruits or the sweet stuff? If you are talking about the honey and the syrup, try halving it. Both are natural and do not react in your body like refined sugar does.

Oh...no...
I like the sugars!

The dried fruits are...um...icky.

Perhaps I could use M&M's or Chips :o)

Stick with the delicious dried fruits, Donna. I like the cranberries the best, raisins are just ok and the diced dried apples the least.

Dear, this is not trail mix. It's granola....wear your Birkenstocks while eating...

Oh man Janet, do I really have to wear Birkenstocks? My Reeboks work pretty well for me. Hey, it's even good with milk in it - and we LOVE the dried apples. Thanks for keeping us stocked up on this great snack!

Donna,
do you like coconut, try that, not the sweetened stuff, but unsweetened, it is yummy, or go without, we love granola with lots of almonds in it

I love coconut and even have some unsweetened coconut in the house (I put it in my peanut butter balls)

I still think some M&M's would make this really yummy!!!

The recipe actually calls for coconut but to that I say YUCK!

Donna,
PLEASE dont put M&Ms in this *fine* recipe. Leave out the dried fruit and eat your granola plain. Or consider topping with fresh fruit right before eating.

Can you tell...I LOVE granola :)
