Happy Birthday James!

This is our birthday season! Sarah's was 3 weeks ago, James' big day is today, Lauren's is in 8 days (we're counting) and Dave's is at the end of the month. Phew. Time to have a big BBQ and celebrate.

This is James relaxing in Jackson this summer. We are in my brother-in-law's brother's home. Got it? The Tetons are out the window in the background. Sooo pretty. I want to go back to Jackson. Right now.

Back to the birthday boy. James is 15 today and is a freshman. He's loving school and very thankful that one friend returned to school (after leaving for public school) and for another friend who has joined the ranks at NCS. He loves working out and making fruit and protein smoothies. He is especially excited that his new iPod Touch is plugged in and charging in his bedroom.

Have I ever mentioned that he weighed 9 pounds 13 ounces at birth? Twelve times? OK. Well, it hurt and I felt the need to share.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY PRECIOUS AND ONLY SON.

I LOVE YOU JAMES.

What is always very cool and amazing to me is how women remember births...for years and years and years! LOL! God really imprints those experiences on our hearts and minds!

Happy birthday to James! Enjoy your iPod touch :-)

Blessings,

Now there's a boy who knows how to relax.
Hope your birthday was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, James.
iPod TOuch- does it get any better than that?

Janet, please let me know which bakery you use down there.
I'm going to invest in stock :)

anita, come back. I usually "get" your jokes but not this time. I don't get the bakery comment.

I hope your son's 15th was the best. My son will be 15 on December 28 and he, too, just began high school. Great age, isn't it, at least most of the time it is anyway.

Hi dot o! Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment. :)

oh janet- sorry.
here I am.

In my obscure way I was thinking that with all those birthdays you will be buying lots of birthday cakes and if you get them at a bakery that bakery would make a lot of money and I should invest in stock....
It was pretty lame, wasn't it?

I better stick with linguine.

OH!
And I hear you had a huge dust storm this morning?
You made MSNBC- even with Hurricane Ike hogging all the news.
Is that what a 'haboob' is?

Yes, Anita, you are right. Except it was yesterday around 6 PM. It was huge. Maybe 30 miles long. Sadly, some of my family members like saying the word HABOOB. ;)

Stock tip: don't invest in the local Glendale bakeries. I usually make them a home-made treat for their bdays. I made James a mint choc. chip icecream pie with oreo crust.
