Hallelujah!

I want to share with you an old, old hymn. It is one of my favorites.

Listen Here

Low in the Grave He Lay
Robert Lowry

Low in the grave He lay, Jesus my Savior,
Waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Vainly they watch His bed, Jesus my Savior;
Vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Death cannot keep its Prey, Jesus my Savior;
He tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Have a blessed Resurrection Day my dear blog friends and family!

He is risen indeed!

Oooo, we sang this this morning!! Doesn't it just give you chills?? I'm all goose-bumpy just thinking about that song and its glorious imagery! A blessed Resurrection Day to you and sister Donna, dear Janet!

Hi Janet,

This is a favorite of my boys. My brother puts it in the Easter service every year just for them, I think. We closed with it today. ;)

'Vainly'. Yup.

'Death cannot...' Yup.

Happy Easter! (I just typed Happy Eater by mistake--that would be me--the happy eater. Wasn't there a big conversation last year about the best Eater candy? See I did it again. I mean Easter candy. Didn't you and I agree that the Reese's egg was the best? Or am I confusing Easter with Hallowe'en?)

Here is a post from last year. See, I blog about very important things!! Reese's Eggs ROCK!

I didn't realize it but I posted the same hymn last year too. I guess you can tell I really like it.
