C.B.F.

We stopped at the gas station on our way up to the Hassayempa River to fill up the truck and the Rhino. Six children were crammed in to the back two seats (they're getting big) and the quarters were close. Any of you with several children know what happens when children are left to themselves for a few minutes in close quarters and within touching distance of each other. Well, I still don't really know what happened but what I do know is that when I came back to the truck there was a story to tell. I was gone approximately 4 minutes. It seems that James (13) couldn't stand the temptation to tease his baby sister, Lauren (4) and when I walked up to the car I was informed that James was in fact a......

"COCONUT BUTT FACE"

according to his baby sister!! (an original name FWIW)

Dave was in hysterics, as was the rest of the car, and Lauren was crying because she was just sure she was going to get in really big trouble for calling her brother a Coconut Butt Face. While I was preparing my "you should never call your brother names, that's not nice, bad girl speech", my husband was repeating the name over and over and smacking James upside the head.

Dave reassured Lauren that a) she was not in trouble b) he loved the name and c) James was (and is) indeed a Coconut Butt Face.

So much for my speech.

ROFLOL!!

That is just too cute :)

And...if I had to guess, we should be proud of young Lauren for finally sticking up for her own rights, remind big brother (in her own way) to pick on people his own size.

My husband says that this goes into the "evidence file" when Dave's name comes up for deacon :)

who's anonymous??

wait until Spencer gets ahold of this one, any chance to say anything related to the word butt, you know!!! ugh

now, what would have happened if Hannah Grace would have called someone a Coconut Butt Face when she was 4 and a half?? (just channeling Nancy)

I think anon. was a person whose name starts with a M and ends in argie. :)

Hannah Grace would have been severly disciplined ;-) Poor hunny. Hey, it's the survival of the fittest now and she's my baby after all.

No, anon. was reluctantly posted by a person whose name starts with D and ends with iana, with her deacon husband standing over her shoulder, laughing his head off! He also warned the kids not to show up at church this week and call James C.B.F.

Diana!!! You stinker....

Yes, James would not be very happy with being called that by his buddies. He's less than thrilled that I posted this in the first place.

OK, that's it. I cannot let my kids read your blog. Alex would not waste any time in adding this slur to his repertoire of defensive maneuvers against older siblings.
