Sisters, Sisters

Sing it with me...

Nancy, Me, Sue and my twin Janice

Sue came for a little visit this weekend. We had a wonderful time. She arrived Saturday morning and spent some time with Nancy and two of her daughters. They came to my house for dinner and more visiting. Janice and I made a delicious dinner for everyone. Janice's vegetable kabobs were out of this world!! Definitely the hit of the night. Well, my homemade key lime pies went over pretty well too. Sue turned the big 5-0 in October, so in typical Glyman fashion we celebrated 4 months late. Susie enjoyed opening a few gifts and I bought and arranged these flowers for both of us to enjoy. They we're in her honor because she couldn't take them home.

We all met at The Spa at Camelback Inn, aka heaven on earth, on Sunday . We had lunch, spa treatments, we sat in the steam room and took hot showers. Nancy took 3 showers while she was there, isn't that funny. :) After the spa time we went to Nordstoms at the Scottsdale Fashion Square and did a little shopping. We had fun looking at purses and shoes. I particularly loved the Burberry purses but they don't go well with my pizza budget. Either do the $525 shoes, gimme my New Balance, thankyouverymuch.

I do like this little number.

After shopping we had a nice dinner at a hot spot in Phoenix called La Grande Orange. It's all the rage. It has a very European feel. There is a market attached to the restaurant and it has all sorts of specialty food items, flowers, wines and very cute La Grande t-shits. More importantly we were able to sit and visit some more.

It was a wonderful visit.
Susie, you need to come more often!!

I DROPPED IN FROM DONNA'S SITE.
(I'M ANITA-THE ONLY WAY I COULD GET SOMETHING TO PUBLISH WAS AS ANONYMOUS!))
THIS IS A GREAT PICTURE. THE SPA SOUNDS DANDY EXCEPT THAT I GET ITCHY IN STEAM ROOMS!
I APPRECIATE LOVELY PURSES AND SHOES ON OTHER FOLKS BUT FOR ME THEY JUST NEED TO LUG MY STUFF AND KEEP MY FEET COMFY.
GLAD YOU COULD HAVE A MINI-REUNION. SISTERS ARE SUCH A BLESSING!

Thank you for a wonderful visit. I came back rested and my face was scrubbed! (I had a facial). My favorite description I told my friends about...4 sisters sitting in their white robes eating delicous salads (and some of us) sipping mimosas before our "treatments" Who can't appreciate that scene. Miss you already! Love Sue
