When Hannah was little I would ask her to vacuum and she would say "Um, well, vacuuming is not my best" meaning, I don't really feel like vacuuming right now and I don't really like it either. I would also hear those three words when asked if she liked a particular meal I prepared. "No thank you, it's not my best". As you can imagine that little saying has stuck around our house. Janice likes to say it once in a while too.
Remember the Bolognese Pasta recipe I posted here?
Well, it's not my best.
I ended up adding all sorts of stuff to it to add flavor and spice. I added a few teaspoons of Italian seasoning mix, red pepper flakes and extra diced tomatoes. Two nights later when Dave and I ate it for leftovers I added a small can of tomato sauce and another can of diced tomatoes. I had so much left I gave my friend Stacey a big helping and she added Classico sauce to jazz it up.
I thought I should give a report since I posted a recipe I hadn't even tried before and it wasn't my best.

Interesting. So it just wasn't spicy enough? You seem to keep adding spicy things to it!
"It's not my best!"
Katie told me yesterday that she loves to clean.
I told her "You're hired!"
I love our family and all the sayings !!! My boys have said things that they didn't realize were just one of our Glymoquisms...
that would be a funny blog topic...
sorry about the dinner, maybe it was your flu and mixed up taste buds, mine have been off all week
Janice-
I can't help but remember when we where in Seattle with you and the boys and Spencer said to you in the car, "But Mom, a promise is a promise."
It was so adorable--with his r's not quite an "r"
Just thought I'd chime in about cute sayings!!

We loved the dinner! My saying is, if I don't have to cook it, I love it! It really was tasty and Mike thought the abundance of meat was great. Keep trying those new recipes, Janet. We'll be standing in the wings waiting to help out with any leftovers :)
