And There It Will Stay

Dave and I were cleaning out our bedroom a few weeks ago and right in the middle of it I had to leave to pick up a child from a friend's house. When I came home this is what I found....

hanging on my wall.

And there it will stay.

I believe it was taken the summer after our parent's passed away. Summer of 1974. Girls, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Nancy became an instant Mom to five girls at the young age of 20. She did what Mom's do, they photograph their family. Here we are in Minocqua at our cottage on the lake.

I do wish Nancy was in the photo but I also understand what she was doing. She was taking care of us girls. Making memories, happy ones.

I see this picture on and off all day long and most certainly before I go to bed every single night. I'm so glad it's there.

I remember the good times and the joy and the blessings of sisters.

Dave, thank you for hanging it on the wall.

Oh my gosh, that is so wonderful. That brought tears to my eyes. I have three older brothers, no sisters. Are you the one with the checkered dress or one of the younger ones? You're probably one of the youngest.

That's Donna (Quiet Life) in the checkered dress. I'm one of the little ones, blond and sitting in the chair, in the blue Danskin outfit. Yes, that's what I said. Danskin. :)

Dave, will you come to my house and hang pictures???

You have a great eye and an ever greater heart :o)

The year may be 1975. I'm not sure they bought the place in Minocqua by that next summer.

Thank you for posting this...it is perfect where it is.

What a sweet picture!

Love the shoes and the Breck girl hair.

Janet and Janice--I would have guessed you were wearing Geranimals. ;)

I wonder if Donna still has that dress. It's darling!

Did he put the photo up in honor of your brother coming to visit? Wait, he's not in the photo, it's the girls!

You girls are all so gorgeous. Very nice...

No Robin, he didn't. He put it up before we knew when Jim was coming.

Again, thank you to all who stopped by for a visit yesterday and today! It sure was fun to hear from you. :)

The picture is indeed a cherished treasure and seems to have found the perfect spot to regularly bless your heart! And the scenery...could anything be more beautiful than the northwoods (okay, I'm more than slightly biased! LOL)

Thank you for sharing this picture with all of us, Janet, especially those of us who are so so sentimental :::sniff sniff:::

Blessings,
Tammy ~@~

Even though your goal is just to lose 5 pounds in a week, you should be strict
with what you do so as not to inadvertently undo all your hard work for vegetarian weight loss.
Avocados- Although not my favorite, are high in fats, the good ones.
Many people don't have the time to weight themselves every day, but checking the scale on a regular basis can definitely help when you're
