The Lily

I am going to Costco tomorrow morning to buy two Easter Lilies, one for my mother-in-law and one for Dave's grandmother. The lilies are very big (Costco style) and beautiful.

Here is a webpage with some information on the Easter Lily.

This poem came from that webpage.

Enjoy.

Easter morn with lilies fair
Fills the church with perfumes rare,
As their clouds of incense rise,
Sweetest offerings to the skies.
Stately lilies pure and white
Flooding darkness with their light,
Bloom and sorrow drifts away,
On this holy hallow’d day.
Easter Lilies bending low
in the golden afterglow,
Bear a message from the sod
To the heavenly towers of God.

Do you remember the sign up sheets at the Lutheran church? I kinda miss those.
Mrs. Boucher would buy us the seasonal flowers....I don't get flowers anymore....
I miss them.

Happy Easter to you and your sweet family!

Ahaaaa..I knew you couldn't stay away!! When you enter our grocery store, the floral dept is right up front, you are just welcomed with the beautiful scent of the Easter Lilies!!! I was in Hobby Lobby this afternoon and they were playing Easter hymns! I love that they are not afraid to do that, and they close on Sundays and their front doors says they are closed so their families can worship.

Happy Easter to your family!
hugs and kisses, chocolate bunnies, reeses peanut butter eggs and and Peeps too! :)
