Never a Dull Moment

Sarah broke her nose last Wednesday.

She was jumping from a trampoline to a blow-up bouncer. She had jumped several times without incident but one time her knee met her nose and that was it!

I have never seen my little Sarah in such pain and cry for so long. It was pathetic. But she was very brave and not hysterical, just in lots of pain. The next few days involved doctors appointments, x-rays and a visit to an ENT! Thankfully, the nose was broken but not displaced. No further treatment was necessary.

"Mom, don't put this on your blog"
Day 2

"Why are you taking so many pictures?"
Day 4

Sarah's nose is healing nicely and she is back to her regularly scheduled activities.

She has, however, stayed away from THAT trampoline.

PS. Dear Family and Friends, my annual Christmas card/photo will be late for obvious reasons. :)

Awww! She still looks beautiful!

I'm glad she is getting better!

What a few months you have had.

I wish for you a day with....

nothing to do.

Perhaps that will be on Dec. 26th.

Love you,
Donna

We have several family folklore-type stories about our trampoline :)

Dont delay the family photo...
in years to come it will be the perfect memento!

You know, Dana, when James was a toddler I never hesitated to get his picture taken with the constant bruise on his forehead. :) I'm not so sure Sarah would go for it though. At least I have several pics of the nose at all stages.

Which one of you (Janice, Janet or Cindy) fell on the sidewalk in Wheaton and ended up with two big black eyes???

We went to Prom with polka dots from Chicken Pox...they matched the dots in my dress.

I don't remember a sidewalk incident, but I do remember a trampoline/cheerleading dismount that didn't work!!! ;}

Oh yeah.

When Janet told me Sarah was jumping off the trampoline...I asked, "Onto someone's shoulders?"
It makes perfect sense, doesn't it?
