I know every single one, by heart. I kid you not.

Are there any songs you have never heard of?

Not a one.

Which one is your all time 1983 favorite?

I loved Beat It, Billie Jean, Flashdance and Manic. Sorry to blow your minds. ;-)

How old were you in 1983? :-)

I was a junior in high school. 17 years young.

I think I know them all. But I can not sing all the words. But that won't stop me from singing along...loudly.

My favorites are
Let's Dance
Little Red Corvette
Africa
Man Eater
Every Breath You Take....

I like a lot of them!!!

I was a married, new mommy in 1983.
I turned 26 in 1983.

Very fun Janet!!!

I know them all but only about four by heart.
My favorite would be Every Breath You Take 'cause I loved the Police.
I was married in 1975, and pregnant with first child in 1983. I turned 26 in August, 1983.

Know them all, but only Every Breath YOu Take by heart.

In this order my favorites are:

Every Breath YOu Take (and anything else by The Police, and Sting thereafter)

Do YOu Really Want to Hurt Me

She Blinded Me With Science

Come On Eileen (remember that video? Loved it!)

I was sweet 16.

I'll be humming all weekend!

Our radio station did a 20 year thing where each day they played a different year from 72-92 I think. Anyway, 1978 was my favorite. I seem to be on target with Junebug in that I was pregnant with son #1 and was 22 in 1983. I have to say I also love The Police and can't resist Toto's Africa.

Things really went downhill musicwise after 84, I think.

And did you think of the fact that 1983 was TWENTY FIVE years ago.

Did that cross your mind.

Well it crossed my mind as I counted on my fingers, still thinking about this post as I listened to Saturday at the 70's.

Which I prefer. The seventies and motown.
But that's not saying I don't love this too....

Did you notice the huge British influence in those 25 songs? I think 10 of those are not American. Mostly British and one from Down Under.

I do love Motown and 70's dance music!

It's Anita. Sigh. I don't know how to sign in except as anonymous. Your comment leaver thing has been quite rude to me.

ANYWAY!
I know all the songs by heart if 'by heart' you mean I can sing along to the radio. I sound SO GOOD when I sing along.

I was Donna's age in 1983. Still single. And sure it was my fate.

My favorite from 83 is one of my all time favorites- 'Twilight Zone' by Golden Earring. I love it.

Hmmm, some of the titles are familiar like Every Breath You Take. Others I'm clueless on...perhaps you could hum them for me?...he he!

In the fall of 1983 I turned 25 years old. My oldest daughter was born that year and will turn 25 years old this spring. Now how random is THAT?!

Honestly, the 80's are a blur to me. I had six pregnancies in that decade, two ending in miscarriage. All those pregnancy hormones flooding my body must have put me into a memory loss mode or something.

Blessings,
Tammy ~@~

How old was I in 1983? I thought that was just a few years ago, cuz I still love all those songs and when I hear them it seems like yesterday! So, I must be about 22 or 23 - something close to that.

Favorites: Africa, Beat It, Every Breath You Take

In 1983 I was 21 and was pregnant with Baby #1. Gosh, that was a L O N G time ago!

What fun!! I was 23vin 83! Prolly can sing most of the songs! In the movie 27 dresses there is the CUTEST scene where the main characters (Kathryn Heigel and DARLING James Marsden) are singing Bennie and the Jets...they totally make up the words!!!

Donna Boucher said...

Cindy,
How is tap dancing coming along!!!
Tell us!

Sis Cindy,
I laughed so hard at that scene in 27 Dresses because I had just told my daughter that I could sing every syllable of many Elton John songs but I didn't have a clue what they all meant.

You And I, Eddie Rabbitt and Crystal Gayle

That's the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

I was nine years old in 1983, but I listened to music like it was going out of style! My fave at the time was anything Michael Jackson. Sigh...he sure ended up letting me down!
